Supporting Primary School Students with Special Educational Needs: Inclusive Practices and Opportunities for Effective Educational Support

The growing emphasis on inclusive education has transformed educational systems worldwide,
highlighting the necessity of providing equitable learning opportunities for all children. Primary
school students with special educational needs (SEN) require individualized support to achieve their
academic, social, and emotional potential. This paper explores contemporary approaches to
supporting SEN learners in primary education through inclusive teaching strategies, differentiated
instruction, collaborative partnerships, assistive technologies, and teacher professional development.
Drawing upon international research and inclusive education frameworks, the study identifies
effective practices that enhance participation, academic achievement, and social inclusion. The
findings suggest that successful support depends on coordinated efforts among teachers, families,
specialists, and educational policymakers. Establishing flexible learning environments and
strengthening teacher competencies are essential for ensuring equal educational opportunities and
sustainable inclusive development.
