It serves as the foundation for understanding physiological processes, disease pathogenesis, diagnosis, and therapeutic development. Advances in medical biology have significantly contributed to modern medicine, including the discovery of genetic disorders, infectious disease mechanisms, cancer biology, and immunological responses. This article aims to explore the importance of medical biology in healthcare by reviewing its core concepts, methodologies, and applications in disease prevention and treatment. Using the IMRAD (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion) structure, this paper synthesizes current biological and medical knowledge to highlight the critical role of medical biology in improving patient outcomes and advancing medical science.
