COMPREHENSIVE REHABILITATION OF PATIENTS AFTER TOTAL HIP ARTHROPLASTY IN UZBEKISTAN DEVELOPMENT AND EVALUATION OF EFFECTIVENESS

The study presents a structured rehabilitation program tailored for patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty (THA) in Uzbekistan. Data from 100 patients (110 procedures) were analyzed, encompassing cases of coxarthrosis, femoral head necrosis, and traumatic hip injuries. The program integrates four stages: preoperative preparation, early postoperative care, mid-term recovery, and extended adaptation. Outcomes demonstrated 89.1% of patients achieving good or excellent functional results based on the Harris Hip Score, with over 90% reporting pain elimination within one year. The complication rate was limited to 6.8%, attributed to early mobilization and precise therapeutic interventions. The findings validate the effectiveness of the program in restoring motor function and promoting social reintegration.

На течение посттравматического периода переломов нижней челюсти влияют различные факторы, в том числе заболевания пародонта, распространенность которых неуклонно растет. По оценкам специалистов ВОЗ в 1990 году более 80% населения Земли имеют признаки пародонтита. У 15-20% людей среднего возраста встречается пародонтит тяжёлой степени. Доказана патогенетическая роль воспалительных заболеваний пародонта в развитии гнойно-инфекционных осложнений переломов нижней челюсти (Ерокина Н.Л., 2009).

The digitalization of medicine is of great importance in improving the healthcare system. The digitalization of the healthcare system in our country is being carried out at a rapid pace, advanced digital technologies are being introduced. Requirements for the automation of primary medical care activities have been developed, the "Electronic Polyclinic" and "Electronic Hospital" information systems are being improved. An updated version of the Unified Medical Information System has also been developed, and important work is being carried out to automate the activities of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Centers.

ASSESSING OVER-THE-COUNTER MEDICINE USE AMONG MEDICAL STUDENTS OF TASHKENT MEDICAL ACADEMY: PRACTICES, PERCEPTIONS, AND POTENTIAL RISKS

Over-the-counter (OTC) medicines are widely used for self-medication among medical students, yet their misuse can lead to adverse health outcomes and mask underlying conditions. This study assesses the practices, perceptions, and potential risks associated with OTC medicine use among medical students of Tashkent Medical Academy. A cross-sectional survey was conducted, collecting data on students' knowledge of OTC drugs, their frequency of use, and factors influencing their decisions. The findings revealed that while students demonstrated moderate knowledge about OTC medicines, misconceptions and improper usage patterns were prevalent. Notable risks included self-diagnosis errors, drug interactions, and the development of drug dependency. The study underscores the need for targeted educational programs to promote safe self-medication practices and enhance awareness of the potential risks of OTC drug misuse.

ОПТИМИЗАЦИЯ МЕТОДОВ ДИАГНОСТИКИ И ПРОФИЛАКТИКИ ПАРОДОНТАЛЬНЫХ ЗАБОЛЕВАНИЙ У ПАЦИЕНТОВ, ПРИНИМАЮЩИХ АНТИДЕПРЕССАНТЫ

В статье рассматривается влияние антидепрессантов на состояние пародонта, включая изменения микробиоты, биохимического состава слюны и структурных характеристик тканей десен. Проведено исследование пациентов, принимающих селективные ингибиторы обратного захвата серотонина, трициклические антидепрессанты и ингибиторы моноаминоксидазы. Выявлено, что прием антидепрессантов способствует увеличению частоты воспалительных заболеваний десен и углублению пародонтальных карманов. У пациентов на антидепрессивной терапии наблюдается снижение уровня слюноотделения, повышение концентрации патогенных бактерий и ухудшение иммунной защиты полости рта. Представлены диагностические критерии для выявления ранних признаков пародонтита у пациентов, принимающих психотропные препараты. Предложены усовершенствованные методы профилактики, включая стимуляцию слюноотделения, коррекцию микробиома и индивидуализированный стоматологический контроль. Рассмотрены перспективы разработки междисциплинарных клинических рекомендаций для стоматологов и психиатров.

CONCOMITANT ABNORMALITIES AND DEFECTS IN CHILDREN WITH URINARY MALFORMATIONS

Backgraund: Urinary malformations are a congenital pathology that occurs in most boys with anorectal defects. An analysis of the literature showed very contradictory and insufficient information regarding the tactics of treating urinary fistulas in children with concomitant anomalies and malformations of other organs and systems. Among them, urethral (bulbar and prostatic) and vesical anastomoses are most often diagnosed. Patients with urinary malformations, unfortunately, have an unfavorable "functional" prognosis. Unsatisfactory results are aggravated in children with concomitant anomalies and malformations of other organs and systems.
