These injuries not only damage the skin and underlying tissues but also pose significant risks of infection, delayed wound healing, and severe scarring, which can result in long-term physical and psychological impacts. Traditional treatments, while effective, often face limitations in terms of accessibility, affordability, and side effects, particularly in resource-constrained settings.
