JUSTICE SYSTEM REFORMS IN THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN: ACHIEVEMENTS AND CHALLENGES

This article analyzes the reforms of the justice system in the Republic of Uzbekistan, focusing on achieved results and existing challenges. Since 2016, comprehensive reforms have been implemented to strengthen the rule of law, improve legal services, enhance protection of human rights, and increase public access to justice. These reforms cover justice administration, legal regulation, legal services, advocacy, notarial activities, civil registration, free legal aid, and digitalization of legal processes. Despite significant progress, challenges remain related to regional disparities, institutional coordination, and public legal awareness. The study is based on the analysis of legal acts, policy documents, and academic sources and identifies key directions for further improvement of the justice system.
